What is a 48V lithium rack battery?
Halovolt rack batteries are 48V lithium packs with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells for telecom shelters, solar installers, server rooms and commercial backup. The Surya 48 (48V, 15 cells) and Surya 51 (51.2V, 16 cells) each store about 5 kWh in a 3U case that fits a 19-inch rack or hangs on a wall, with the rack ears and wall bracket both in the box. They report over CAN and RS485, connect up to 16 in parallel and carry a 5-year replacement warranty. For bigger sites, the Vidyut 240 stores 48 kWh in one cabinet.

48V lithium batteries for telecom sites
The Surya 48 and Surya 51 are rated for 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge and report their state of charge over CAN and RS485, so a rectifier or site controller can read every pack. Each has a 100 A BMS, takes 200 A peak and works from 0 to 55 °C. Our telecom tower battery guide covers the standards and sizing, and for bigger sites we explain what a BESS is.
48V or 51.2V?
The Surya 48 and Surya 51 both run equipment built for 48V DC. The Surya 48 has 15 cells in series and charges at 54V, so it suits rectifiers and older inverters set up for a 54V float. The Surya 51 has 16 cells and charges at 57.6V, which is what most current hybrid solar inverters expect in their lithium setting. Check the charge voltage your equipment can be set to, or send us the model and we will tell you which one fits.
For solar installers, server rooms and bigger sites
Surya packs stack up to 16 in parallel, about 82 kWh with the Surya 51, in a standard 19-inch rack. Sites that need more in one unit can use the Vidyut 240, a 240V battery cabinet storing 48 kWh, with up to four in parallel. A Vidyut-style pack also comes at 48V nominal, by quote.
Rack & telecom FAQs
What is the price of a 48V 100Ah lithium battery?
The Surya 48, a 48V 100Ah lithium battery in a 3U rack or wall-mount case, costs ₹67,700 including GST. The 51.2V Surya 51 costs ₹69,900.
How many Surya packs can be connected together?
Up to 16 packs of the same model can run in parallel.
Can a 51.2V lithium battery replace a 48V lead-acid battery bank?
Yes, if the charger or inverter can be set to a 57.6V lithium charge, as most hybrid solar inverters can. On a -48V telecom plant, use the Surya 48: TEC's guideline keeps a 16-cell pack at or below 56.8V there, and the Surya 48 has 15 cells and charges at 54V.
